What specifically do i need to set up the dunlop heil talkbox?

i have a 15 watt marshall amp, an old speaker but do i absolutely need a mic and a mic amp? i've seen videos of people using it without a mic.|||no you dont...the talk box has a built in amplifier. just jack up the volume cause those ******* get loud. but if you want to use a mic just put it on a stand and tie the tube onto it so that its out far enough to put in your mouth but not to far away from the mic. thats a nice talk box by the way. but i like the Banshee more
