Will any 9v DC adapter work with the Dunlop Crybaby wah wah pedal?

I've had two 9V adapters, one Dancelectro (Cheap brand) and one that came with my pedalboard (Not so cheap brand), and they both worked fine. So I'm willing to bet it will. :]|||I always buy the correct adapter, then there is no risk, and you know that you get some noise reduction,

The cheapie adapters, are made for power tools, and battery chargers.

They tend to add more noise to the pedal, than the correct adapter.

You also have to make sure that an AC pedal gets an AC adapter,

And a DC pedal gets a DC adapter.

if you get the wrong one, you will burn up the pedal.

You have to make sure that the pedal puts out enough power for the pedal, or it won't sound right.

You have to make sure that the positive and negative signals go to the right "pin", or you will probably damage the pedal.

A lot of time, you get lucky and everything works fine, but to me, it's not worth the risk.

Plus, like I said, the correct adapter is usually quieter.

edit

the sad thing, is if the poster doesn't take my advice because of the trolls thumbs down, he may burn his pedals up?

the trolls would have a little credibilty, if they had a real answer to offer, once in while.

you do know, that everyone knows you're fake

that many thumbs down for a correct answer, is a bit of overkill
